It's impossible to create holiday makeup looks without a red lip squeezed in somewhere! In light of Santa Baby favorites, the classic red pout and silver/cream colored shadow with liquid liner has become nothing short of an iconic Christmas classic. This look is light, and perfect for daytime holiday parties (no drama here). Keep scrolling to see which Annabelle faves I used to complete the look...
- Before you get started, perfect your complexion! For the full list of products used to build this medium/full coverage, check out my first point in the last holiday how-to post!
- For eyes, have fun with your lighter shadows! I used the white shade from the Quad Eyeshadow palette in Haute Mer, but feel free to substitute a champagne or silver alternative for a glamorous effect. Pearl hues also deliver great effect (try applying Mineral Pigment Dust in Prism for a beautiful glitter). Smooth over lid and work up slightly past your natural crease. Don't be shy to build opacity here - lighter shades sometimes need a few layers. To bring more light and definition to the eye, dab highlighting powder on the inner corner and brow bone of the eye.
- It's liner time! My absolute all-time must have is always the EyeInk liquid liner. Wing it, thicken it up, make it a full-out cat eye if you please! Have fun with your lining technique (I like mine slightly curved up), and finish off your masterpiece with two juicy coats of Expandable Mascara (I keep my brush on the shorter end for more volume). For extra eye pop, use Kohl Eyeliner in White on your lower lash line (an especially great tip if you're beat from the holiday rush - removes all redness and opens eyes)!
- Frame those brows! I love defining and shading mine in with the Skinny Brow Liner in Universal Dark (don't forget to brush them out).
- Flush out the apples of your cheeks with Chestnut Blushon, and dab some more highlighter on those cheekbones!
- Lip service. For this look I went straight for my Twistup in Red Carpet (a classic red with the perfect blue/orange undertone blend), but experiment with your skintone with some of the other foxy shades like Monroe (a brighter, more orange-based pencil), or even Cherry (this baby's all blue-based).
Have fun beautifying ladies and gents!
